Design 

The processes required to create extraordinary yachts balance art with science; we look at yacht design holistically, with a knowledge of design and styling crossing the full spectrum of industrial design and an engineering knowledge evolved from working on many new vessel designs and newbuild projects between 25 and 131metres long.

SABDES brings our innovative concepts into engineering reality by beginning with sketching exterior styling proposals, and going on to model every aspect of the exterior and interior using high end 3D computer modelling programs. We develop the 'concept design tender' and 'statement of owners requirements' against which Shipyards can bid. If desired we can be engaged by  yacht brokers or builders from the early design stage, bringing into the project their long standing experience of new constructions. Final design is guaranteed by the Shipyard and their Engineering and Naval Architect teams.

SABDES are proactive in developing Yachts with a minimal environmental impact. We research technology and products that help reduce the need to burn fossil fuels and lower greenhouse gas emissions. Whenever possible, sustainable manufacturing materials and methodologies should be used. Yachts systems can be optimised to ensure minimal power consumption, and could be supported by energy sources produced by the sun and wind. Hull designs can be optimised for minimal surface and hull wake, improving fuel efficiency and reducing the impact on sensitive marine life and shorelines. Hybrid propulsion and fuel cell systems can be considered. SABDES believe in bringing low to zero emission yachts into a reality.
